With 35 new cases on Monday, the total number of swine flu cases reported in the city this year reached 794.

No death was confirmed by the Delhi health department. Eleven people have died due to the disease so far.

Doctors said, the cases of swine flu will go down with an increase in temperature and one can avoid the ailment by maintaining high standard of personal hygiene.

“The mouth should be covered while sneezing or coughing and hands should be properly washed. The symptoms such as high-grade fever, respiratory problem, chest pain and blood in sputum must be reported well in time,” said an advisory released by the health department this month.

Health officials said, 17 government hospitals and five private hospitals are fully equipped with medicine and other paraphernalia related to tests and treatment.
