Give service weightage to Morarji Desai school staff: HC

The High Court division bench comprising Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice B Manohar has upheld the single judge order stating that teachers and principals of Morarji Desai schools are entitled to five per cent service weightage.

Dismissing an appeal by Karnataka Residential Education Society, the bench said, “We find no infirmity in the order by the single judge.

“ The appellant has not made out a case to interfere with the order.”

It observed, “The respondents are entitled to service weightage, provided they have appeared for the combined competitive exams held on July 24 and July 27, 2011.

 The Society should try to accommodate respondents, without dismissing candidates who have been selected and appointed,” the bench observed.
