Sridhara Sandwich and Coffee’, located inside National Games Village, Koramangala, has become a popular hangout for many youngsters in and around the area.

   Located in a quiet corner of the area, it may not be bubbling with people but it has its own loyal customers, especially because of the ambience it provides.

The fresh juice and cheese sandwich is a speciality and many come here to have a mug of fresh fruit juice after a walk in the park.

Pineapple, mausambi and fresh lime juices, mango milkshake and chocolate shake are some of the popular items here.

Rajesh, who manages the eatery, says the crowd is generally young. “The eatery was started a year ago and has done pretty well. Most people visit our place in the evening for a quick fill or a hot cup of coffee. Many of our customers are regulars and we know what they usually order,’’ he adds.

As the place is tucked away in a corner, many pass by without even noticing it. However, thanks to the people who regularly visit the place, many are becoming aware of it now.

The cheese sandwich is pretty interesting and melts in the mouth. The bread is generously filled with shredded cheese, then vegetables like cucumber and onions are added to it. Finally, it is grilled till it becomes golden in colour. The hot grill melts the cheese and makes the sandwich almost irresistible.

The vegetables add more variety and flavour to the sandwich. There are also vegetable and tomato sandwiches. There is vada pav too but it is not available all the time.

The best part about the eatery is that the vegetables are cut fresh. People, who are health-conscious, can choose the amount of cheese and grease which goes into the sandwich.

Rajesh informs that they do give a lot of preference to the wishes of the customer and often make the sandwiches and juices the way they want these. “Sometimes, people want a little more cheese in their sandwich. Those who are conscious about the amount of calories being added to their juice ask me not to add more sugar to it. The demand varies but most ask for extra cheese,” he grins.

The location of the eatery is such that one can take a nice walk, breathe some fresh air and take a break with a fresh glass of juice and a filling sandwich.
The beautiful ambience of the eatery makes it worth a visit. Though small, the juices and sandwiches in the eatery is a must try.
