The Karnataka government has declared holiday for government offices, schools, colleges, banks and insurance companies on March 7 in the limits of 208 urban local bodies, to enable the people to cast their votes.
However, it does not apply to the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike area.
Holiday has been declared under the Negotiable Instruments Act, according to an official release.
