Training for cops on traffic rules on October 26

Speaking to presspersons on the sidelines of Police Martyrs Day on Wednesday, he said to rectify the traffic, police are being trained in traffic rules.

Police personnel including traffic police inspectors are not given any training on traffic rules so far. As a result, police department has initiated a programme to train the police.

The work on concreting of road from Major Mangeri Muthanna Circle to private bus stand will commence from October 26. We will decide on the one way traffic soon.

No illegal activities are being carried out in the district. If any illegal activities are taking place, then public can inform SP or Additional SP.

FIR helpline

If the police station refuses to file FIR on any incident, then they can register their case at the FIR helpline opened at SP office. A police inspector has been deputed to receive the applications. After verifying the case, it will be forwarded to the station concerned. Public can also register their complaint online with complete details like name, address, and telephone number.

Annigeri said public must be cautious while purchasing old vehicles. If public wants any information on the old vehicles which have been used in crime, they can file an application at Motor Vehicle Verification counter by paying Rs 20.
