6 minors raped, 8-yr-old among them

In two cases reported recently, they were abused by relatives who are juveniles

 Five rape incidents with six minors were reported in the Capital in last 24 hours, police said on Wednesday.

An eight-year-old girl was raped at east Delhi’ Anand Vihar on Wednesday morning.
The victim, a resident of Anand Vihar, went with her mother and neighbouring kids to have free lunch organised by a temple near Karkardooma Metro station.

Her mother returned home leaving her with the kids.
A man, aged around 30, lured her with sweets and took her to an isolated place where he raped her and fled.

Although bleeding, she managed to return home and narrated the incident to her mother.
Her mother informed police and rushed her to Hedgewar Arogya Sansthan where she is undergoing treatment, police said.

A case has been registered with Anand Vihar police station and a hunt is on to nab the unidentified accused.

Assaulted at knifepoint

A 14-year-old girl was raped at knifepoint by her minor neighbour at Wazirabad. The 16-year-old accused has been arrested.

The accused and the victim, residents of north-east Delhi’s Gokulpuri, were friends and had gone to Wazirabad.

The minor then raped the girl at knifepoint and threatened her with dire consequences.
The girl did not reveal her trauma for a week but finally told her parents on Tuesday.
Her parents approached police after which a medical examination was conducted.
A case has been lodged with Gokulpuri police station.

Ordeal

Two minor girls aged between 12 to 14 were raped by their distant juvenile relative.
The victims told police that in October last year their parents went to attend a wedding in the neighbourhood leaving them at home when the boy came and raped them.

The victims kept mum but told their parents when the accused tried to rape them again on Sunday.
Their parents approached police and registered a case.

The juvenile was nabbed and sent to a correctional home.

Class 9 student

A 12-year-old class 9 girl was allegedly raped by her 14-year-old relative on February 27 in west Delhi’s Ranhola.

A case was reported on March 5 after the victim narrated the incident to her family.
The accused has been detained and sent to a juvenile justice home.

Returns pregnant

A man has been arrested for kidnapping a 16-year-old girl from south-east Delhi’s Amar Colony.
A case or rape was lodged after the Srinivaspuri victim was found pregnant.
The victim’s parents had approached police in June, 2012 after their neighbour Dinesh kidnapped her.

Police rescued the girl on Tuesday and a medical examination revealed that she was pregnant.
