Last Updated 11 March 2013, 20:43 IST

The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagar Palike (BBMP) is planning to revive the grade separator project from Sarjapur Road -Sony Junction- Ejipura Junction, for which a revised feasibility report is being prepared.

“We have carried out a road survey of all above junctions. Once the report is in, we can start with the project,” said a BBMP Traffic Engineering Cell engineer.

The project proposed in 2008, has been delayed due to technical hitches, administrative problems and constant changes to the plan at regular intervals.

A detailed project report (DPR) and revised feasibility report from Manasa Consultants is yet to be received.

The total cost of the project according to State budget 2013-2014 announced by Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar is Rs 200 crore. But BBMP officials claimed the cost is around Rs 107 crore.

If the project is extended to Hosur-Sarjapur Road near St John’s Medical College, the cost might escalate by Rs 50 crore.
