Rising food prices are expected to drive inflation to over six per cent by the end of this fiscal, challenging policy makers to come up with adequate responses to tame prices in the short term, analysts said.
The wholesale price-based inflation stood at 0.92 per cent in the previous week. Inflation had remained at sub-zero level for 13 weeks in a row before turning positive in the first week of September.
