ABVP flays move to increase fee

The Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishath (ABVP) has warned the government of a massive protest if the government were to increase the fees for professional courses, as hinted by Minister for Higher Education C T Ravi recently.

The Parishath has demanded that the government take decisions in favour of students.

In the light of the private managements demanding that the government increase the fee from Rs 36,090 to Rs 90,000 for engineering and from Rs 46,000 to Rs 1,25,000 for medical and dental courses, ABVP has asked the government to frame regulations to check exorbitant fees charged by private colleges.
