Last Updated 19 March 2013, 21:15 IST

Seven gold biscuits valued Rs 30 lakh were recovered on Tuesday from a toilet in the domestic terminal of the IGI Airport here.

The biscuits, weighing 100 grams each, were found early in the morning after a housekeeping staff alerted a CISF check squad about a small wrapped packet lying unattended inside the gents toilet of terminal 1D.

“The biscuits bore a mark — 9990 Dubai-UAE — and have been handed over to authorities concerned,” CentraI Industrial Security Force spokesperson Hemendra Singh said.

The CISF called in its bomb disposal squad. The packet was opened in presence of IGI officials and handed over to customs.
