<p>The Ron police have arrested five people in connection with the incident in which former minister C C Patil was shot at on Sunday night.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Gopi alias Basanagouda Shekharagouda Hiregoudra, Hanumanthanagouda, Shivanagouda Ramanagouda Hiregoudra, Erappa Yogashetty Angadi and Channappagouda Shekharagouda Hiregoudra of Menasagi village were arrested by Sub Inspector S R Attikatagi and staff and produced before the court.<br /><br />The court has remanded them in judicial custody till April 2.<br /></p>
