<p>A spectator escaped with a minor injury after a chunk of plastering on the ceiling fell on his head at the Bangalore Football Stadium during the Second Division I-League match between Vasco Sports Club and Eagles Football Club on Thursday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The incident happened when the match was into the 83rd minute and the fan, 76-year-old Nagappa, slipped down from his chair, stunned by the impact. Immediately, other spectators helped him to his feet before the doctor at the venue administered first aid. <br /><br />Nagappa, a retired Hindustan Aeronautics Limited employee, was taken to the HAL hospital where he was treated and allowed to go home.<br /><br />Nagappa, a former footballer, is a regular for the matches at the venue.<br /><br />The incident threw light on the maintenance of the stadium which attracts big crowds for many matches in the Super Division as well as the ongoing Second Division I-League. <br /><br />“We will check the plastering at the stadium tomorrow morning (Friday) with the help of an engineer and wherever re-plastering is needed we will do it. We will also take care of all the medical expenses of the injured spectator,” said KSFA president A R Khaleel. <br /><br />Match commissioner Rizwan-ul-Haq said he will mention the incident in his report to the All India Football Federation. “Definitely, I will report the incident to the AIFF,” Rizwan said.</p>
