<p>A 49-year-old man committed suicide by jumping in front of a train at West Uttam Nagar Metro station on Saturday. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Rajender Kumar, a resident of Jain Colony, worked with a private company in Noida as a machine operator. Police said Kumar’s body was mutilated as it had come under the wheels of the train.<br /><br />“The CCTV camera footage of the station shows that Rajender jumped in front of a train at 7.10 am,” said Sanjay Bhatia, additional deputy commissioner of police (railways).<br /><br />As no suicide note was found, police are trying to ascertain the motive behind the extreme step. <br /><br />The body was handed over to his family after a post-mortem at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital.<br /><br />Doctor arrested<br /><br />In a separate incident, a doctor from Allahabad was arrested at Anand Vihar Metro station on Saturday for carrying three “dead” rounds of a revolver in his bag.<br />Sartaj Alam was held by Central Industrial Security Force personnel at security check-in of the station.<br /><br />Sartaj told police that he had gone to Lucknow, where his uncle owns a licensed revolver. <br /><br />“He says the three rounds accidentally fell in his bag,” Bhatia said. Sartaj has been booked under Arms Act.<br /></p>
