As people of the State were unhappy with both the BJP and the Congress, they were inclining towards the JD(S), said the party MLC M C Nanaiah.

Speaking to media here on Sunday, he said that the JD(S) would field its candidates from both the constituencies in the district. While the name of former minister B A Jeevijaya had been finalised for Madikeri constituency, the name of Virajpet candidate would be finalised within two to three days. The JD(S) would not enter into alliance with any political party, he said.

“As the people of the State are tired of the BJP rule, the JD(S) will get a majority in the Assembly elections. There will be no hung Assembly in the State. The welfare programmes initiated by the JD(S) president H D Kumaraswamy during the BJP-JD(S) coalition government are hailed by the voters even to this day,” he said.
