Aashirvachan 2013, a solemn ceremony of blessing, was held recently at the National Hill View Public School.

The chief guest for the occasion air commodore KC Kuruvilla, who is a recipient of Vir Chakra, enlightened the students with his insightful life story and the challenging situations that he had to undergo as an Indian Prisoner Of War (POW) and the proud moment when he received the Vir Chakra award.

Amidst the rendering of melodious hymns and verses from the scriptures, Principal Rama Ranganathan, addressed the 2013 batch of students of standard XII. She emphasised the importance of the will to go on and follow their dreams. Lepaksha, trustee secretary, and Venkatappa, additional trustee secretary, National Education Foundation, blessed the
students.

Parents, teachers and elders showered the traditional Akshatha and flowers and wished the students. The outgoing school captain Amruthavarshini and vice-captain Akshay Viswakumar shared fond memories of their days in school. The ceremony ended on a sweet note of mixed emotions with a cake-cutting ceremony and high tea.
