Mulayam hopeful of Third Front

Last Updated 27 March 2013, 19:39 IST

The colour of politics dominated Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav’s Holi celebrations this year and he sprinkled them in plenty at the people.

Apparently eyeing power at the Centre, Mulayam virtually turned his Holi function at his native village of Saifai in Etawah district, about 250 kilometres from here, on Wednesday into a political meeting.

He raked up the Third Front, lambasted the Congress and the BJP and also urged the people to ensure a “big win” for the SP in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls in 2014.

“Some people may rubbish the idea of a Third Front but let me tell you that it will form the next government. Neither the Congress nor the BJP is going to get the required numbers,” Mulayam said.
