Political churning in the State continued ahead of the Assembly polls onWednesday with BJP MLA Manappa Vajjal stating he would quit the party to join the JD(S).
Vajjal represents the Lingasagur constituency in the present Assembly. He ran into trouble in 2010 for defying the party whip and abstaining from the Assembly during the trust vote sought by the then chief minister B S Yeddyurappa. The party had even planned to file a disqualification petition against him. Vajjal said he would soon join the JD(S) in the presence of party president H D Kumaraswamy.
