Speaking to reporters after meeting Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Veerendra Heggade at his home office ‘Krishna’, he said if there is any minor difference, it will be discussed and sorted out. Asked about Reddy brothers’ demand that the proposed truck toll should be dropped, Yeddyurappa said it is still being finalised.

“In fact, the proposal has been pending for the last two years. By imposing the toll, revenue leakage can be plugged and the government will be able to provide better roads in the State,” he stated. Official sources said the government is yet to finalise the rules and procedures to levy the toll. Besides, routes have been identified for toll collection. The CM, sources said, may allow Reddy brothers to have their say in finalising the rules and routes and thereby sort out the issue.

Earlier, Veerendra Heggade held discussions with Yeddyurappa and briefed him about his plans to construct houses for flood victims. Heggade said he has plans to construct 1,000 houses and the CM has asked them to take up the project in and around Kongwad village of Dharwad district.
