Shidlaghatta TP chief elected unopposed

Saraswathamma Tamanna, who is  from Bhaktarahalli, was elected to the post reserved for general category. Hemavathamma, who represents Hospete constituency, won the post reserved for backward class A (Woman). In the 16-member panchayat, the Congress has 13 members and the others were from JD(S).  Former President Maula was keen on contesting again, but was directed by  former minister V Muniyappa not to file the papers. As there were only one candidate for each post, they were declared elected unopposed.
