Mandd Sobhann plans Usha Uthup show on Dec 20

Programme will be held at St Aloysius grounds

Addressing a news conference on Saturday, Mandd Sobhann Gurkaar Eric Ozario said that the programme has been designed on the concept of a train journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in an imaginary ‘Ekta Express-the peace train’ and as the train passes through various states, Usha Uthup will sing songs in the local language.

Likewise, she will sing songs in English, Dogri, Hindi, Bhojpuri, Assami, Gujarathi, Bengali, Oriya, Sindhi, Punjabi, Rajasthani, Khassi, Marathi, Konkani, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Tulu.

He informed that eminent musicians from Kolkata will accompany Usha Uthup in the performance and top quality sound and lights will be provided from Bangalore. About 8 professional dance troupes will perform authentic dances from different regions.
The show will be compere by Harish Bhimani (who lent his voice for commentary in Mahabharath).

Ozario said that apart from spreading message of peace and harmony, the show also proposes to raise money for Kalaangann-Konkani Heritage Centre.
President Louis J Pinto, Co-ordinator Stany Alvares, Secretary Rony Crasta and Vice-President Matilda Pinto were present.
