Block Resource Person Kembodi Nagaraj inaugurated the programme. Speaking on the occasion, Kembodi Nagaraj said that the programme identifies children, who are lagging behind in studies and helps them to overcome the problem.

Belt, badge, tie at the cost of Rs 5,000 donated by President of Geleyara Balaga K M Narayanaswamy and notebooks worth Rs 10,000 donated by Special Officer at the Governor office were distributed to the student on the occasion.

Taluk Education Convener V Rangaswamy said that ‘Samudayadatta Shaale’, a programme to assess the academic progress of the children with the involvement of parents, will be conducted at the high school level also. The programme will ensure co-operation between the parents and the children, and ensure academic excellence of the students.

School Development and Management Committee president L L B Srinivas presided over the
function. Gowramma of Geleyara Balaga, leader Mechanic Srinivas, K G Narayanaswamy, Literacy Convener Munishami spoke on the occasion.

Headmaster Bandarahalli Shreeram, teacher Tarabai, Lalitamaba and many others were present. Prizes for the winners of the pratibha karanji competitions were distributed.
