Lovely Star’ Prem is eagerly waiting for the release of the bilingual film Chandra. After all, the actor says that his dream has come true with this movie.

Ask him about it and he says with a coy smile, “I have always admired Shreya as an actress and I am a big fan of hers. She is very talented and I always wanted to work with her. When I got to know that she is being roped in to play the role, I was both nervous and excited,” he says. He quickly adds, “Meeting her and working with her was a brilliant experience. She is so humble, down-to-earth and extremely friendly. That made me comfortable to work with her.”

That’s not all. Prem says that in this film, he has more to offer his fans than just being the romantic hero. “People know me for my romantic hero image. But for this film, I have also trained in kalaripayattu and worked on my six-pack as I have a lot of action sequences. I hope people will like my action avatar as well,” he adds.

Prem plays the role of a singer in the film and has donned different costumes. “This is the first time people will see me in completely different costumes and looks,” he adds.  The movie, directed by Roopa Iyer, is about a royal love story. “The character has got a lot of depth in it. Roopa is a very talented director, that’s why I was interested in the project,” he states. But he is quick to add that the film is not a historical one. “The story is based on the royal families of today. It has nothing to do with any historical figure. I feel that’s where the film stands apart. It has the richness of the royal family intertwined with an innocent love story,” he adds. Soon, the actor will be seen in a Preetham Gubbi film. “But it’s too soon to talk about the project. Right now, my concentration is only on Chandra,” he sums up.
