A conference that sought to explore the public-private partnership, with special reference to the development of tourism in Karnataka, was recently conducted at Sambhram School of Management.

Arvind Jadhav, the additional chief secretary with the Tourism Department, Government of Karnataka, addressed the students on some key points related to this subject. It was also attended by Vithal D Potdar and Ullash Kumar.
The discussion touched upon the model of public-private partnership which is in vogue today and the students seemed fairly interested to find out more on the topic, especially those who were thinking of entering the tourism industry in the future. Those who were from other cities and states could relate to the talk, since many of them were, at one point, like tourists in Bangalore themselves. The conference came to an end with the declaration to create awareness about tourism in Karnataka and working to develop logistics that would project the State’s cultural heritage.
