Three arrested for murder

Ayaz, Praveen and Satya, all aged 20 and residents of Chamarajpet, had reportedly murdered Rajshekhar alias Ambi (19), a resident of Jayabheemnagar, near Vinayaka Theatre in Cottonpet recently.

Inspector Gopala K P said that Ambi was returning home with friends after having dinner at Select Hotel on Mysore Road at 10 pm on October 14, when the accused, coming from Anandpur, waylaid him.

Two persons held him while the rest assaulted him with knives. Ambi, who sustained severe injuries on his torso and hands, bled to death.

Ambi’s murder was a fallout of a rivalry he had with one Rajesh, which started after he had assaulted Murali, Rajesh’s supporter. Ambi was a small-time rowdy himself and allegedly extorted money from the public. Police are on look out for Rajesh and Vinod.

House burgled

Around 300 gram gold jewellery and Rs 30,000 were stolen from a ground floor house in Ulsoor, even as the inhabitants were asleep on the first floor on Thursday night.
Sampath Kumar, clerk at a court, had vacated the ground floor for painting and locked it when the incident occurred in M V Garden. His mother and elder brother were away in Tamil Nadu. Police are investigating the case and reports of the finger prints collected from the spot is expected on Saturday.

Gas cylinder theft, 3 held

Indiranagar police on Friday arrested three persons and recovered eight stolen gas cylinders and four cellphones worth Rs 30,000 from their possession.

G Nivas (18), Prakash (21) and Santosh (19), all residents of Ulsoor, are the accused. Police said they had solved eight cases of stolen gas cylinders with the arrest of the accused.
