Elderly couple come under train

An elderly couple — Mariswamy Gowda (68) and his wife Lakshmamma (55) of Lakshmipura, was run over by a train at Lakshmipura near Belagola in Srirangapatna taluk on the early hours of Thursday, reports DHNS from Mysore.

While Gowda was a daily wager, Lakshmamma was a housemaid. The couple was crossing the track, to take a short cut to the government hospital in Palahalli, when the Bangalore bound Mysore train ran over them around 6 am.
