What is intriguing is their perseverance to brave the most difficult and emotionally exhausting quest of survival, away from their families, in search of a better future. Rajita adds, “The story is set in a remote village in North India, for the true essence of India can only be explored in its villages.” The protagonist is Sarju, a farmers’s son. Sarju, restless and adventurous, epitomises today’s youth.
