Last Updated 31 October 2009, 19:00 IST

According to official sources, the closure order was issued on Saturday. The order said Ananthpura Mining Corporation belonging to OMC should stop mining activities immediately in 6.5 hectares of leased land.
The sources said OMC has been given one notice for carrying out mining activities in violation of the rules. “The Forest Department permission has not been sought. A show cause notice has been issued seeking clarification", Ananthpur DFO Kallol Biswas told Deccan Herald.

Meanwhile, Reddy clarified that it was far from truth to state that his company was involved in illegal miniing.  "We are not adopting devious ways. Our company affairs are being conducted in proper manner. Truth will always prevail,” he told media persons.

The directors have been appointed to look into the affairs. "They have the capacity to manage things. These incidents are common for those who have come up fighting various odds. These are usual in business. We are now focusing on politics and company directors will look after the mining affairs.”
However, he declined to comment on the show cause notice issued by the Andhra Pradesh Forest department.
