14 chikungunya cases reported

Fourteen chikungunya cases have been reported from January till date, according to Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike health officials. Further, all those who were suffering from chikungunya in City have been cured and there is no need to panic. Till date, there has been no malaria or H1N1 case reported in City, they added. 

BBMP Chief Health Officer Dr S B Nagaraj claimed that the Palike had started taking preventive measures to tackle dengue, chikungunya and malaria in the last two weeks.
Eight teams headed by deputy health officers have started spraying disinfectants across the City, he added.
