Nitish discusses way forward of crisis with core committee

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today held talks with the core group of JD(U) leaders ahead of crucial discussion within party on the political situation with a minister saying the "divorce paper with BJP is ready".

On return from Katihar leg of "Sewa Yatra", the chief minister talked to core committee members consisting of senior ministers about how to move forward in the situation.

Those who participated in the meeting with the CM at his One Anne Marg residence included senior ministers Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Shyam Rajak besides state party chief Bashist Narayan Singh and Rajya Sabha members R C P Singh and Ali Anwar.

Sources said they discussed the way forward to snap ties with BJP following elevation of Narendra Modi as BJP's campaign committee chief for 2014 parliamentary elections.
A senior minister said the "divorce paper with BJP is ready and it would be announced after discussion within the party."

The crucial discussion on the emerging political scene after anointment of Modi is likely to begin tomorrow evening and a decision is expected on Sunday.

JD(U) sources said party president Sharad Yadav is arriving here tomorrow evening after which the discussion process will begin, the sources.

JD(U) Chief Whip in Assembly Shrawan Kumar said no meeting of the Legislature party has been called but he has asked the legislators "to be in touch" so that they can rush to the state capital on a short notice.
