Palike clears encroachments

A two-storeyed building at Banashankari Second stage near Papaiah Garden beside the Balaji Kalyana Mantapa was pulled down by the BBMP’s anti-encroachment squad. This building measuring five feet by forty feet was constructed nine years back. But subsequently, the elected bodies and the authorities ignored it. On Monday it was razed.

A similar drive was carried out at Puttenahalli lake where encroachment had come up in an area of 1 acre and 21 Guntas andonly three Guntas were cleared. Rehabilitation project for the displaced people is arranged.
