Four youths from City drown at Muttathi

According to the police, eight employees of Jetking Computers Company in Sadashivnagar, had come to Muttathi on Sunday.

After offering pooja in the temple, they got into the river Cauvery, when four of them - Shanthiprakash (27), Vikram (18), both residents of Maruti Extension, Venkatesh (25) of Vyalikaval and Kumar (22) of Kamala Nagar were washed away in the river.

After the incident, their friends  Vinod, Ranganath, Puttaswamy and Tapan Kumar went to Hanur police station to lodge a complaint. But the police told them to register the complaint in the jurisdictional police station in Halagur. As it was late in the night, search operations were launched only in the morning.
Local divers have recovered three bodies till now.
The body of Vikram is yet to be traced.
