JOIN USMost famous for playing the role of Pia in Ekta Kapoor’s famous TV serial Kasamh Se, television’s glam doll Roshni Chopra, was recently spotted in the City.
Also known for being the winner of NDTV Imagine’s reality show, Dil Jeetegi Desi Girl, Roshni became a popular television presenter for the pre and post match cricket show on Doordarshan known as Fourth Empire.
Roshni has also been the perfect anchor and host to shows like Comedy Circus. Roshni breezed through the city to host an event in the City along with Hussain Kuwajerwala.Metrolife caught up with the actor, who recently gave birth to her first child, son Jaiveer.
Ask the new and excited mother how she has managed to manage losing post-pregnancy weight and she seems delighted to answer. “I eat very healthy. I do a lot of yoga, I don’t work out much. I think health has to be mental as well as physical,” she says.
The 32-year-old was indeed looking absolutely stunning in a gorgeous shimmering outfit, designed by Samir Patel.
When asked how much she was enjoying motherhood and balancing professional commitments simultaneously, she seemed very relaxed about it. “I love it, it is very challenging. Luckily, I got my baby on a beautiful schedule. I know what time he wakes up, what time he goes to sleep, everything is just so perfectly planned,” Roshni quips.“I am going to be in the new season of comedy circus.” says Roshni when asked about the current projects she has signed up for lately.
The silver screen television actress also took some chances when she took a leap in to Bollywood, like most other actors who want to make it to the big screen. Despite of starring in three bollywood movies, Lets Enjoy (2004) (in which, her husband, Siddharth Anand Kumar was the director); Bhram: An Illusion (2008), and Vikram Bhatt’s film, Phhir (2011), none of the movies could do much to contribute to her career in Bollywood. Not one of them saw success at the box-office.
Roshni also has a younger sister who is following her footsteps. Deeya Chopra, her sister, is also a television actress who is currently seen in the TV serial Chhanchhan.
