JOIN USHorizon Club’s Sucheth P Shenoy and Archana Kamath of MTTA clinched the Sub-junior boys’ and girls’ titles ín the State-ranking table tennis tournament for the Nalanda Gurukula Cup on Friday.
Sucheth defeated club-mate Sanketh GS 11-8, 11-9, 6-11, 11-2 in the boys’ final while Archana registered a come-from-behind 11-13, 10-12, 12-10, 12-10, 16-14 victory over PTTA’s Spoorthi.
In the boys’ semifinals, Sucheth had beaten Sudeep G of Horizon Club 11-8, 7-11, 11-5, 11-3 while Sanketh put it past MTTA’s Neeraj Raj S 11-5, 14-12, 11-6. Archana and Spoorthi had it easy in the girls’ semifinals. Archana got the better of Sejal Koushik of MTTA 11-6, 11-9, 12-10 while Spoorthi beat Gayatri 11-8, 11-4, 11-8.
