<p>A first year BCom student of Nitte Meenakshi College allegedly hanged herself at her house in Sampigehalli police limits on Saturday. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Maithri, 19, was one of the three children of Sampath Kumar, a weaver and resident of Agrahara Layout. She reportedly had an affair with Darshan, 22, a resident of Kogilu village, for the last two years. <br /><br />Darshan, who is employed by a firm at the Bengaluru International Airport, reportedly refused to marry her. She was upset as she felt cheated, and hanged herself with a saree when she was alone at home. <br /><br />There was no death note, and based on Sampath Kumar’s complaint, the police booked Darshan.</p>
