<p>Ravi and Charkha, a master and servant, are searching for a rented accomodation in Delhi but nobody is ready to accept them because they are bachelors! At last, they lie to a potential house owner Miss D’Costa saying that Ravi is a married man and that his wife will join them after two-three days. But, when his wife fails to show up, the landlady gives them a notice to vacate.<br /><br /></p>.<p>As the name suggests, Jugaad is a hilarious play with many punches and one-liners. A very common word used by Delhiites, the word suits the script rather well. The play takes a hilarious twist when Ravi lands in a soup because he asks Charkha to play his wife! Charkha, meanie that he is, decides to blackmail his master for more money or he threatens to reveal all.<br /><br />Enter Ishwar, an actor who has played Sita in his native village’s Ramlia, no less than six times! The next thing you know – Ishwar is now Aishwarya for Miss D’Costa. <br /><br />There’s more. Dilbagh Singh from Ravi’s village comes to stay with Ravi and starts wooing Aishwarya and ends up offers him/her a role! And Aishwarya being a wannabe actor falls for him! Not only that, the relation becomes funnier when Dilbagh and Aishwarya dance to a Bhojpuri romantic number – where a man is trying to woo another man! <br /><br />In the meanwhile, Shyam Sunder (Ravi’s father) on getting to know that his son is married, decides to visit his daughter-in-law and falls in love with Miss D’Costa instead! On the other hand, Charkha spreads the news of Aishwarya being pregnant!<br />Another song sequence between Shyam and the landlady adds more flavour where Shyam is wooes Ms Whisky Soda/Miss D’Costa. Finally, Ravi while trying to save himself declares that Aishwarya is Dilbaugh’s wife! <br /><br />Despite that the play had no professional actors, it left the audience in splits and asking for more. Directed by Dinesh Ahlawat, the play did need morerehearsals. <br /></p>
