JOIN USCooperation Minister H S Mahadev Prasad on Monday said the State government is planning to set up a M P Prakash study chair at Kannada University, Hampi.
Late Prakash was a statesman. An in depth study needs to be done on his life. Besides, the government is planning to extend permanent aid to Rangabharati, a theatre repertoire set up by Prakash, he added. The M P Prakash Pratishthana has organised a function to mark 73rd birth anniversary of Prakash on July 11 at Ravindra Kalakshetra in Bangalore.
Former union minister and Congress leader M V Rajashekaran is scheduled to inaugurate the function. Noted film director Nagathalli Chandrashekar is scheduled to inaugurate a photo exhibition on Prakash on the occasion. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will take part in the valedictory function.
