Ranjan powers Combined City

Ranjan Sanjay Kumar slammed an unbeaten double hundred while his overnight partner Liyan Khan completed 150 as Combined City XI inflicted an innings and 76-run defeat on Tumkur Zone in the SA Srinivasan Memorial Trophy U-25 tournament on Wednesday.

Having restricted Tumkur to 157 all out on Tuesday’s opening day, Combined, overnight 239/1, declared their innings closed at 394/4 in 70 overs. Liyan, resuming from 117, went on to score 152 (177b, 17x4) while Sanjay went one better to register a double ton against his name. His 202 came off just 203 balls, including 24 hits to the fence and two sixes.

Tumkur fared no better in the second innings, folding up for 161 in 61.2 overs.
