People came flocking to this upmarket shopping venue that was especially created to showcase Tarun Tahiliani’s Levi’s collection of jeans.

As Bangalore’s top models sashayed up and down the ramp, they gave a new meaning to the phrase ‘designer denim’.

There was a whole range of creations on display — from dark denims with gold detailing, ripped or stressed jeans and elegant dark blues teamed up with tops with jewelled chains, snazzy belts and trendy footwear ranging from strappy sandals to boots.

The sequences ran into each other without a break, as models strutted and swayed to beat of the music and wore creations that were basically denim but so creative and well designed that each one was a style statement by itself. Tarun used all sorts of embellishments, from Swarovski crystals to sequins, from silver chains to kalamkari prints and used them effectively and creatively.

“The collection is specially designed for the Indian diva, who is global yet distinctive in her style statement.

Whether it’s the destructed look teamed with Indian touches like motifs and
metallic chains or fine embroidery that is subtle yet striking or sparkling crystals that highlight the pockets and seams making it perfect for a night out in
the town, each one of these garments is special,” said Priya, one of the organisers
of the event.

The creativity and styles were endless ranging from denim hot pants to wrinkled skinny apsarette jeans (ideally worn by young apsara!), eye-catching jackets sparkling with Swarovski stones and plenty of formal wear denim ideas.

Aindrita Ray, Sandalwood actress was the showstopper of the evening rubbing shoulders with all the leggy ramp models on stage with just the right amount of flirty style.
