BMTC bus runs over woman

A 56-year-old woman was killed after she was run over by a BMTC bus at the Majestic bus stand on Friday. The deceased is identified as Hasina Begum, a resident of Umar Bagh Layout.

The police said Hasina, along with her husband Sayyed Rafeeq Ahmed, was walking close to platform number 21 at the Majestic bus stand when incident occurred.

The bus driver fled the scene. The Upparpet police have registered the case and are on the lookout for absconding driver.
