Public help sought to nab Bodh Gaya blasts culprits

Last Updated 12 July 2013, 20:18 IST

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday sought public help in providing information regarding those involved in the Sunday serial blasts in Bodh Gaya in which two monks were injured.

The identity of those providing information will be kept strictly confidential and the informer will be rewarded suitably. The agency has asked public to provide information leading to the identification of persons involved in the blasts by calling the mobile number 08540848216 or writing to the email id: sp10.nia@gov.in.

Ten low-intensity bombs had exploded in the Bodh Gaya temple complex on Sunday early morning. Around 10 people were detained for questioning but were later released after finding that they were not involved in the incident.

Though a twitter handle in the name of Indian Mujahideen had claimed that the terror outfit carried out the explosions, the agency is also looking into the involvement of other such organisations or people as the investigators have doubts about the authenticity of the tweet.
