<p>The convoy of Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas M Veerappa Moily met with a minor accident near Nelamangala on National Highway-4 on Saturday noon. No one was injured in the accident.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The accident occurred when the minister was returning to City from Tumkur. The driver of a sports utility vehicle proceeding in front of the convoy applied brakes suddenly to avoid hitting a cow. The pilot vehicle of minister’s motorcade rammed the SUV from behind and three cars behind it rammed each other, Venkatesh, the sub-inspector in the escort team of the minister told Deccan Herald.<br /><br />“It was a very minor accident. No one sustained injuries nor was there any minor damage to the vehicles. The minister continued his journey to Bangalore and reached the City,” Venkatesh said.<br /><br />The SUV driver - Selvam, a businessman from Sira - was taken to the police station. Nelamangala police have registered a case against him for rash driving.</p>
