He said eradicating hunger in the world was the biggest challenge for humanity.
Speaking at a seminar on ‘Hunger and Agriculture crisis’ in Bangalore on Thursday he said the draft of the Food Security Bill prepared by the Centre was inadequate. Many have opposed certain provisions in the draft bill. The Centre has to relook into the provisions and review it.
Das said that the legislature should frame a law in such a way that it could be enforced effectively. “There is no point in passing a law, which can’t be enforced,” he said.
