JOIN USIt was one of the most awaited parties of the social calender. The ‘Kingfisher Pre-Derby Party’ and the ‘Starting Draw Nite’, held on the night before the main event, had all the right elements. The evening began with the horse owners, trainers and jockeys coming together for the draw of lots that determined the lane of the horses for the race.
Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan added to the glamour quotient by drawing out the names. A first time for the actress, Sonal said she enjoyed every moment of the evening. And she even liked names of some of the horses. “Being a romantic, I really liked the name ‘Czar of Romance’. I love the entire build-up to the Derby as we women got a good reason to dress up,” she adds. The night then made way for musicians Hari and Sukhmani, who played some peppy Punjabi music, and DJ Whosane made everybody let their hair down and enjoy
themselves.
