<p>An ethnic Indian secondary school teacher was gunned down by an unidentified gunman in Malaysia's Kedah state today, police said.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The victim, K Shanmugam, 45, had stopped at a traffic intersection in Kulim town when one of the two men on a motorcycle pumped nine bullets in him at point blank range.<br /><br />A police spokesman said Shanmugam was found dead in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, succumbing to injuries sustained from multiple gunshots.<br /><br />The spokesman said the assailant was believed to be armed with a 9mm automatic pistol and the police has retrieved nine bullet shells from the scene.<br /><br />The motive for the shooting is yet to be determined and the case has been classified as murder by the police.</p>
