A man in a wheelchair was injured when he set off an explosion at the Beijing International Airport today.
The explosion was heard in Terminal 3 of the airport at 6:24 pm (local time), witnesses said.
State-run CCTV said the man injured in the blast was 34-year-old Ji Zhongxing from Heze in Shandong Province.
He set off a home-made explosive device packed with gunpowder from fireworks. There were no other casualties.
