The faculty at Gonzaga School has been trying its best to make education an enjoyable process, said School Principal Grace Noronha.

Addressing the parents at the annual Parent Teacher Interface organised at the School premises in Mangalore on Saturday, she called upon the parents to spend quality time with their children.

Appealing the parents not to entertain stressful learning, she said that the School has been emphasising on less home assignments and more learning at the school itself.

Presiding over the programme, School Manager Rev Fr Elvis Lewis said that the strength of life depends on how a person handles failures and not success. “Learning to express emotions and inculcating values to be a better human being are today’s challenges,” he opined.

Earlier, delivering a lecture on “Effective Parenting,” Resource Person Lugina Miranda called upon the parents to identify the students’ talents and nurture them. Stating that no parent is perfect, she said that there is a need to motivate children as every child is unique and has different talents.

The parent representatives were also elected for the academic year 2013-14 on the occasion.
