Flesh trade 8; women held

 The City police on Saturday arrested eight women for their alleged involvement in a prostitution racket.

All the arrested hail from Kolkata and were residing in a paying guest accommodation at Vyalikaval for the last two months.

According to police, they received a tip-off that the women were attempting to solicit clients near Sampige Road in Malleswaram and deputed a team to the area to observe their activities. The police are on the lookout for two men involved in the racket.

A case has been registered at the Malleswaram police station.
