<p>BJP legislator Amarnath Gami Sunday came out in open rebellion against the state party leadership and hinted that he may soon join Bihar's ruling Janata Dal-United (JD-U).<br /><br /></p>.<p>The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has suspended him from the party.<br /><br />Gami, legislator from Hayaghat, described senior state leader Sushil Kumar Modi as "power hungry" and refused to work under him.<br /><br />"I am against Modi because he has hijacked the party. He does not want party cadres to progress and therefore he suppresses them," he alleged.<br /><br />"BJP ideology is becoming individual-centric," he said.<br /><br />Gami has hinted at joining the JD-U along with two or three more legislators.<br />"Wait for a few days, everything will be clear," he said.<br /><br />Announcing the suspension of the legislator, BJP spokesperson Vinod Narayan Jha later said that the party "may take strict disciplinary action against him soon".<br /><br />Two days ago, BJP workers in Rohtas protested against Modi and shouted slogans against him during his visit.<br /><br />The JD-U last month dumped BJP in the state. The BJP later accused its former ally of trying to break the party.<br /></p>
