Marriage is like a war: Neha Dhupia

As she walked the ramp for designer duo Shane and Falguni Peacock at the ongoing India Bridal Fashion Week, Neha Dhupia insisted she has no plans to tie the knot because she feels getting married is like "going to war".

"I have no plans to marry anytime soon because I feel marriage is like going to a war.

"I am single at the moment,” Neha told PTI. The 32-year-old former Miss India, who looked like a Gothic bride in a printed and embroidered black gown with an extended metallic belt as an accessory, said the she will never prefer to wear this outfit for her own wedding whenever it happens.

"This dress might look complicated but it is probably one of the easiest thing I have worn on ramp. It took me only two minutes to wear it. I was very comfortable.

"I will not wear this dress for my wedding because this will not allow me to hug my loved ones (because of the belt)," she added.

Shane and Falguni's collection titled 'The Garden of Eden', saw models sashaying down the ramp wearing floral headgears with every outfit which consisted of blingy velvet sarees, net gowns and layered anarkalis.

The colours used were the traditional bridal choices like red, pink, white and black. Neha was happy to walk for her designer friends and said, "Fashion is all about great relations. It feels good when your designer makes a creation keeping you in mind. They are always ready to dress me. With their collection they have redefined the bride giving her space to experiment."

When asked about taking garden as inspiration for their collection, Falguni said, "We recently visited the Cannes Film Festival and were quite impressed to see the beautiful gardens. "We have used a lot of floral motifs on our outfits. That inspired us to make this creation. We kept our western sensibilities intact with this collection."
