Man accused of molesting daughter

A homemaker has sought separation from her husband, accusing him of molesting their four-year-old daughter.

Jaya, the complainant, claimed that her husband, M A Reji Abraham, began “molesting” their daughter when she was just one-and-a-half years old. He would lace some sedatives in a drink and offer it to the child and try to molest her, she alleged.

The woman said in a complaint to the police that Abraham molested the child for more than two-and-a-half-years. The victim would undergo medical examination on Friday.
 
“He would also torture me physically and mentally,” she claimed. Married in 2008, Jaya and Abraham were staying at Victoria Layout, Austin Town. They applied for separation four months ago.

Abraham has been booked for outraging modesty of a woman under section 354 of the IPC. He reportedly owns some stores on Brigade Road. Jaya was his second wife. She married him after divorcing her first husband.
